It’s well known that Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati is all set to make his Hollywood debut through a period film ’Vijil: Mystery of the Phantom Ship’. Directed by Dhwanil Mehta and scripted by Yogesh Joshi, the film will be bankrolled by a London based production house.
The film is based on a giant ship ‘Vijil’ that disappeared with more than 700 passengers on board off the coast of Saurashtra, Central India, on November 8, 1888, in a cyclonic storm. Rana Daggubati will play the role of a scientist who will be trying to figure out the reasons behind the mysterious disappearance of Vijil. The film will start rolling by mid 2018.
Vijil: Mystery of the Phantom Ship will be made on a huge scale. It will also be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil versions.
Rana Daggubati’s last outing Nene Raju Nene Mantri was a political thriller that was well received by audience. It’s Tamil version is going to be released on Sep 22nd across Tamilnadu. Makers are planning to release it’s Malyalam version by next month. Nene Raju Nene Mantri Hindi satellite rights have been already sold out to Star Network.
