There’s no stopping for Megastar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s latest outing Tiger Zinda Hai. The film has emerged as the New Year gift to the entire Bollywood. The spy-thriller has been on a record-breaking money-sweeping spree ever since it’s release on 22nd December, 2017. Tiger Zinda Hai has gone past the 300 crore mark in just 16 days in the domestic market which is a phenomenal feat.
Tiger Zinda Hai has still not shown any sign of ending its theatrical run. This is remarkable as it is in its third week and the film is still inviting moviegoers. With the grand entry in 300 crore club, Tiger Zinda Hai has become the fifth Bollywood movie to achieve this rare feat after Dangal(386 Cr), PK(340 Cr), Bajrangi Bhaijaan(320 Cr) & Sultan(300.45 Cr). The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Salman Khan’s own Sultan and it currently stands at the fourth place in the list of Highest grossing Bollywood movies of all time after Dangal, PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
From the very first day of release, Tiger Zinda Hai is setting new records at the box office and still heading to achieve more height. Due to not having any competition, it still has good hold over the audience across the country and now eyeing to cross the collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is the biggest blockbuster of Salman Khan.
Due to huge buzz and positive word of mouth, Tiger Zinda Hai took a record- breaking opening and minted 206.04 crore in the first week from 4600 screens Nationwide. Tiger Zinda Hai remained strong in the second week as well and registered the business of 85.50 crore which took it’s two weeks total India nett collections to whooping 291.54 crore.
Now, Tiger Zinda Hai is in it’s third weekend and it is surprising that the film is still maintaining a massive occupancy all over India. On it’s 3rd Friday, TZH did the business of 3.72 crore. On the next day i.e. 3rd Saturday, the film showed good growth and minted 5.62 crore which pushed the film in the 300 crore club.
