Actor Prakash Raj on Narendra Modi
Speaking at the inauguration of the 11th State meet of the Democratic Youth Federation of India(DYFI), Prakash Raj slammed many politicians including PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi. The actor raised his voice on the mysterious murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh and criticised Modi government for their silence on this issue.
He said, “Gauri’s killers may not have been caught yet but what is more distressing is those who abused her and celebrated her death on the social media. They have crossed all the limits and we well know who are they. The sad part is that our PM Narendra Modi ji also follow them on Twitter but he is keeping silence on this issue.” “I was a very close friend of Gauri for over three decades. Gauri’s father, Mr Lankesh, was our mentor, our teacher. We have been his students.” Raj added.
Prakash Raj also targeted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He told “If you see videos today from UP, you will be confused if he (Yogi) is the CM or the pujari of some temple. We have people doing such double roles in front of people. I am disturbed, hurt and i am afraid of the silence of my government and Narendra Modi.”
“They have given me five prestigious national awards but i feel like giving these awards to the politicians because they are greater actors than me.” Prakash Raj said angrily mainly referring to Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath.
