Mega Prince Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi’s last film Fidaa, which was released on July 21st, has turned out to be one of the biggest blockbuster of Telugu cinema in terms of Investment recovery. The refreshing romantic-comedy film was made on a budget of just 15 crore and it grossed over 90 crore worldwide in it’s final run. Fidaa collected 48 crore share from the globe which is phenomenal. It minted 18 crore share from Nizam thus it recovered it’s entire investment from a single territory itself which is a mind-blowing feat.
Now, the film is getting dubbed in Malyalam and will get a wide release in December across Kerala. The Malayalam trailer has already been released by the producer Dil Raju on his YouTube channel which got good response. Sai Pallavi has a huge fan following across the Malayali state that will help the makers to get a wide release there. With all these positive vibes, the film is expected to do well in Malyalam and if the film manages to get 10 crore gross, it will emerge as the first 100 crore grosser for Varun Tej and of course Sai Pallavi.
Director Shekhar Kammula, who was in failures from past a decade, has come to his form with this movie. The film has added one more hit in Producer Dil Raju’s kitty, who tasted back-to-back hits in 2017 with Shatmanam Bhavathi, Nenu Local and DJ Duvvada Jagannadham. Even his latest production venture Raja The Great has also become a success at the box-office. Sai Pallavi who made her Tollywood debut with this movie, has become a star overnight. Let’s hope the film continues it’s victory march in Malyalam too.
