Kamal Hassan Vishwaroopam 2

The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Versatile Tamil Superstar Kamal Hassan’s long delayed movie Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to his 2013 blockbuster Vishwaroopam, will be launched on November 7th on the special occasion of the National Award winning actor’s birthday. Vishwaroopam 2 ran into a lot of troubles and faced many controversies ever since it went on floors. But now entire shoot of the movie has been wrapped up and the makers are busy with the post-production activities.

While an official announcement is awaited, the film’s music composer Ghibran on Friday hinted that the trailer will be released very soon during a live chat with fans. He said, “It’s just mind-blowing and has come out very well. I’m not sure if I can reveal the date, but it will be released very soon on a special day. And after the trailer gets out, the film will also arrive soon”. Though he didn’t spill the beans on the date of release, he dropped enough hints that the trailer may be out on Kamal Haasan’s birthday.

Vishwaroopam 2 follows the story of an Indian spy, played by Haasan, who befriends a notorious terrorist, played by Rahul Bose, and tries to bring down his empire. The first part was lauded for its high-octane action and taut screenplay. One of the highlights of the film was the scene where Haasan is seen transforming into a mean killing machine from an effervescent Kathak dancer. The sequel promises to be more intense as it is loaded with action and will be highly emotional, quoted in Hindustan Times.

Directed and produced by Kamal Hassan, Vishwaroopam 2 also stars Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapoor and Jaideep Ahlawat in other crucial roles. The film is a trilingual made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

Kamal Hassan will next start shooting of his new movie Indian 2 which is a sequel to his Indian. Directed by Shankar, the project will kickstart early next year and will be produced by Lyca Productions. The film was officially launched at the finale of the Bigg Boss Tamil reality show.
