Young Tiger Jr NTR is one of the biggest star of Telugu film industry. He enjoys a massive fan base across the Telugu states and his movies always gets bumper opening at the box-office. NTR’s last outing Janatha Garage grossed over 130 crs worldwide and collected a share of around 81 crs which proved his box-office stamina.

Jr NTR’s next movie is Jai Lava Kusa which will hit screens on Sep 21st. It features NTR in three different roles while Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas will be seen playing female leads in this action-entertainer. The movie is directed by KS Ravindra who previously directed Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Power.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has bankrolled this movie which is made on a very controlled budget. The production cost of the movie is just 26 crs. The worldwide theatrical rights of JLK have been valued at 86 crs and the producer has made a table profit of Rs 60 crs just by selling theatrical rights. The satellite rights, Hindi rights and music rights have added extra 25-30 crs to the producer’s kitty.

But the main problem for the film is to recover these whooping investments. As the film is sold for over 86 crs, it will have to collect a share of the same price or more to get the hit tag. Jai Lava Kusa will have to earn a minimum share of around 75 crs to give relief to the distributors. The film will be considered a successful venture only if it collects a share of over 86 crs and that seems very tuff as the film will have to clash with Mahesh Babu’s Spyder just after 1 week. And after 2 days of Spyder, Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu will enter into theatres.
