Superstar Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again, which was released yesterday, has taken the box-office by storm. The film not only achieved great reviews from all over but also collected huge revenues. Despite of clash with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar and limited release, Golmaal Again fared extremely well at the ticket window.
Golmaal Again opened with over 90% occupancy all over from the morning shows itself. The occupancy was even higher than Shah Rukh Khan’s film Raees. Due to highly positive response and great word of mouth, Golmaal Again occupancy showed more growth in the evening and night shows which helped the film to get a huge opening. The film collected 30.10 cr nett in India from 3500 screens while it minted 7.61 cr($1.17 million) in Overseas with 732 screens. Golmaal Again is expected to cross the elite 100 cr mark in it’s first weekend itself.

Golmaal Again has become the highest opener of Bollywood in 2017 surpassing the first day biz of Salman Khan’s Tubelight (21.15 Cr) and SRK’s Raees (20.42 Cr). The film stands next only to Baahubali 2 Hindi Version which collected 41 Cr on the first day. Also the film has become the second biggest opener of Ajay Devgn after Singham Returns (32.09 Cr).
In case you didn’t know, Golmaal Again is the fourth installment in Golmaal film series. It also marks the tenth time collaboration of director Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn. Golmaal Again’s star cast also includes Arshad Warsi, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Tushaar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunaal Khemu, Prakash Raj and Neil Nithin Mukesh.
