Baahubali, the magnum opus, is the biggest film of India in terms of scale, visual effects, budget or box-office. It is the leader in every aspect. Baahubali : The Beginning, which was released on July 10th 2015, set new benchmarks at the box-office. The film stood as one of the highest grossing film in the history of Indian Cinema. The first part left us with the question, “Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?” which created humongous hype for the second part.
On April 28th 2017, when the second part ‘Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion’ released, it managed to broke each and every record of Indian cinema. The second part came up with a lot of answers and massive craze and as everyone was expecting, it took the box-office on fire. The film grossed over 1700 crs worldwide in it’s final run while 1300+ crs was from India alone. As both the films ended up as massive blockbusters, the makers are planning to re-release the films soon.
Grapevine in the industry is that director SS Rajamouli is contemplating re-release of the film but with a bit of a tweak. They will combine both the movies and make it as solo movie, which will tell the complete story from beginning to the conclusion. Unimportant scenes and few songs will be chopped of from the movie. A team of Baahubali is currently working on this to bring down the runtime.
The end of war with Kalakeya, where the first part was completed, will mark the Interval and Bhallaladeva’s death would be the climax of this new Baahubali. As Rajamouli will remove some unnecessary scenes, he will also add some unseen new content that was edited from the two parts. Now, that’s really a great attempt by makers to raise the curiosity of cine lovers. The team is currently working on this and according to the reports, they might release the new ’Baahubali’ on new year.
Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishan and Sathyaraj played the key roles in Baahubali. It was bankrolled by Arka Media Works and MM Keeravani composed the music for the film.
