SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’s Magnum Opus ‘Baahubali’ has probably broken each and every record of Indian cinema. The film stood as biggest blockbuster of India and grossed over 1700 crs worldwide.
Baahubali 2 was released on 7500 screens in India which made it the biggest ever in the history of Indian cinema. But this record is now set to be broken by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic ‘Padmavati’. The film features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
A source close to the production team revealed the mind-boggling release and marketing plans of Padmavati. “It will open on approximately 8,000 screens in India alone. That is 500 more screens than Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion. That makes Padmavati the most widely circulated Hindi film ever. It will also be screened abroad on a scale never seen before”.
That’s not all. The makers of Padmavati are planning to dub the movie in English language for selected American and European outlets. It will also help the film to step into the international market.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions are jointly bankrolling this mega budget project which will also be released in Telugu and Tamil. Padmavati also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Danny Denzongpa in other crucial roles. The film will be released in February 2018.
