Baahubali is not only the biggest blockbuster of India, but also the most popular movie of the country. And it has been proved once again. Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion was premiered on Television on Oct 8th in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Sony MAX, Vijay TV and Star MAA at 1 Pm, 3 Pm and 5 Pm respectively. The film has left many Bollywood biggies behind and has become the most viewed Hindi movie on it’s premiere. Salman Khan’s Tubelight holds the second position but it the difference between the TRP numbers for these two movies is noticable huge.
Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC) has revealed the Television Rating Points (TRP) and impressions for week 41, that is from October 7th to October 13th. Baahubali 2, which was aired on Oct 8th, received a total of 26,054,000 impressions and topped the TRP chart beating Salman Khan’s Tubelight, which got total impressions of 5,195,000 from it’s premiere on Oct 2nd.
Out of it’s 26,054,000 impressions, Baahubali 2 registered 17,671,000 impressions in Urban areas while 83,83,000 impressions in Rural areas. On the other hand, Tubelight registered 3,638,000 impressions in Urban areas while 1,512,000 impressions in Rural areas from it’s total 5,195,000 impressions. These numbers are really huge and no movie can even come close to it, at least for near future.
Directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Arka Mediaworks, Baahubali 2 features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishan and Sathyaraj in the crucial roles. The film has music given by MM Keeravani. Baahubali 2 grossed over 1700 crs worldwide and is gearing up for it’s massive release in China.
